Rustic Wedding at Huntsmill Farm in Buckinghamshire
Stunning Countryside
On a late September day when the sun is still warm but low in the sky there can’t be many more charming locations for a rural wedding than Huntsmill Farm.
Set quietly amongst gentle rolling hills in stunning countryside the farm is a short drive from the picturesque town of Buckingham, the newly converted barn is a perfect space for a wedding set not only in a single location but with exclusive access for guess.
Sunny September
It was a gorgeous early Autumn day in September for bride and groom Steph and Ed’s big day. The bride and groom each used one of the on site cottages each for their preparations. These private buildings are available for exclusive use by the guests for every wedding at Huntsmill farm offering a great space to chill out with friends in the morning while enjoying relaxed preparations without having to worry about any travelling or getting to the venue on time. It is only a short hop across the courtyard from here to the ceremony room where Steph and Ed’s guests had gathered for an emotional and celebratory wedding ceremony in the packed out and beautifully renovated barn.
The sun continued to shine as guests poured onto the lawn after the ceremony to enjoy some live jazz music and canapés. The amazing weather continued throughout leaving guests keen to remain outside to enjoy all hazy autumn sunshine. The wonderfully laid back bride & groom enjoyed a stroll with me around the grounds for photos and we captured some really natural portraits using the features of the farm with some great colours and textures available and loads of variety for background.
Beautiful Sunset.
As the sun began to set the light was a wedding photographer’s dream – soft and golden with the fields stretching way into the distance. For me this is one of the most amazing thing about photography for a wedding at Huntsmill Farm, the golden hour photos opportunities are simply fabulous.
It didn’t take long to capture a couple of shots utilising the amazing light, leaving the couple free to get back to enjoying the day (I never like to keep my couples away from their guest for more than a few minutes).
As everyone regrouped in the barn for the first dance all that remained was for the live band “Season”to play out the night and for the party to get into full swing.
