Elagant and Timeless. King’s College Wedding in the Heart of Cambridge
Charlotte and Adam’s King’s College wedding, Cambridge was the definition of timeless elegance. Both alumni of the college, their day felt deeply personal — a beautiful homecoming filled with emotion, history, and the grandeur of one of the university’s most iconic settings.
A Few Words from the Couple
“We cannot recommend Damien enough to other couples looking for a wedding photographer. Damien was a calming presence on the wedding day and somehow everywhere he needed to be without ever being noticed! We’re absolutely blown away by the photos — he’s captured our day perfectly, from the big moments to the little things we missed. Just exceptional from start to finish.”

Kings College Chapel Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the awe-inspiring King’s College Chapel, one of the most magnificent venues in the country. As the couple exchanged vows to the sound of a full choir, sunlight streamed through the stained glass windows — a breathtaking moment that captured the emotion and majesty of the day. In Charlotte’s words, “Walking back down the aisle as husband and wife with the sun pouring through those windows was pure magic.”
Blessed with perfect spring weather, we explored the stunning college grounds after the ceremony. The cloisters, courtyards and lawns offered endless opportunities for natural, romantic portraits. Our walk along The Backs, with classic views across the River Cam towards the chapel, was especially memorable — the calmness of the evening light perfectly complementing the couple’s serene, joyful energy.
Wedding Breakfast and Evening Celebration in The Great Hall
Following a relaxed drinks reception and canapés, guests gathered for the wedding breakfast in the magnificent Great Hall. The vaulted ceiling, candlelight, and rich history of the space made for an unforgettable setting. Later, while the hall was transformed for the evening festivities, guests enjoyed cocktails in the contemporary bar area before returning to a packed dance floor.
From the balcony, the first dance was a spectacle — a romantic, atmospheric moment followed by lively celebrations that carried late into the night. The acoustics of the hall made every cheer and song feel truly electric.
King’s College Wedding Venue
For couples with a connection to Cambridge, few places rival King’s College for beauty and significance. The chapel’s stunning Gothic architecture, the grandeur of the Great Hall, and the sweeping riverside views make it a truly world-class venue. For Charlotte and Adam, being able to return to the place where their story began made their celebration all the more meaningful.
